Telstra and Jamcracker partner to deliver On-Demand Business Applications

(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Telstra, an Australian telecommunications and information services
company and Jamcracker, an on-demand services delivery company, today
(17 November) announced a partnership to provide on-demand software and
IP services to small and medium businesses (SMBs) throughout Australia.

The telecomms company, which offers fixed and wireless voice services,
broadband and IPTV, said that it will use the Jamcracker Services
Delivery Network (JSDN) to provide new IP services, including
Jamcracker-provided SaaS applications, bundled with existing Telstra
on-demand services. Telstra will also on-board local Australian SaaS
applications that are not yet part of the JSDN catalogue.

Telstra will offer these application services under the T-Suite brand,
alongside traditional mobile and fixed line communications services,
providing name-brand software applications that Telstra customers can
mix and match with voice, data and internet access services.

The Jamcracker-Telstra partnership will initially deliver services
designed to meet the security and collaboration needs of SMBs.
T-Suite's first set of services include on-demand security offerings
from McAfee and MessageLabs, online data backup from Iron Mountain,
Hosted Exchange messaging and SharePoint collaboration services from
Microsoft, as well as Microsoft Dynamics hosted CRM.

No product pricing details were disclosed.
