Redback Networks Gets 2008 Internet Telephony IPTV Excellence Award for SmartEdge 1200

Redback Networks, an Ericsson company providing video-centric routers
for triple-play networks, announced Technology Marketing Corp. (TMC)
has named the SmartEdge 1200 as a recipient of a 2008 IPTV Excellence
Award presented by Internet Telephony magazine.
Part of Ericsson's IPTV solution, the SmartEdge 1200 has been honored
with thirteen awards since its introduction in June 2007.
"Redback's SmartEdge 1200 provides a highly flexible, scalable and
reliable network architecture for carriers deploying IPTV," said Simon
Williams, senior VP of products, marketing and strategy at Redback
Networks. "Receiving the IPTV Excellence Award speaks to the technical

Policy Manager, as well as to Redback's best practices heritage in
building smart broadband networks for differentiated IP video services."
