Allied Telesis Adds Siren Telephone as New Triple Play Customer

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Allied Telesis, a provider of secure IP/Ethernet access solutions and
deployment of IP Triple Play networks over copper and fiber access
infrastructures, announced Siren Telephone as a new Triple Play
customer.

Siren Telephone, a rural ILEC in Siren, Wisconsin, joins the ranks of
Allied Telesis' many U.S. and global customers, providing IP Triple
Play with the Allied Telesis iMAP (integrated Multiservice Access
Platform) and iMG (intelligent Multiservice Gateway) over copper and
fiber infrastructures, the company said.

"As we continue our best year ever in the U.S., we are pleased to add
Siren Telephone to our growing list of IPTV deployments. Siren, like
many others, recognized and are benefitting from iMAP's unique
architecture - the first pure Ethernet/IP, chassis-based multi-service
deployed in the U.S.," said Bill Allen, Allied Telesis Vice President
of Sales and Operations.

According to the company, Siren Telephone has maximized the benefits of
multiple services in one platform, and has deployed ADSL, POTS, Active
FTTH, and T1 over Ethernet, often combined in the same chassis. The
Allied Telesis iMAP and iMG were selected after careful scrutiny of
numerous vendor solutions.

"The iMAP delivers as promised - multiple services, scaleable
architecture, and proven true Ethernet carrier-class technology. Allied
Telesis promotes solutions that are tested and available today, not
promises of the future," said Siren Telephone General Manager Sid
Sherstad. "Additionally, in today's economic climate, we feel secure
that, as a profitable, diverse, global provider of solutions, they will
be here to support us today, and tomorrow."
